I think I finally hit my limit today. Things have gotten to the point at the lab, that I feel myself getting sick everyday I have to come in to work. That is, if my boss is going to be at work. Sometimes it feels like the more work I finish, the more work I uncover that needs to be finished... I am editing the hydro proteome manuscript, and it will need at least one section added, maybe two. And all the figures and tables need to be updated. Glargh.

I got through last week with J. away. Meow and I made it, and the worst that happened was that I lost sleep because of watching scary movies, and gained weight because I ate too much (and ate junk food). My weight has been slowly going down. I'm still journaling, and I've been exercising more regularly. My new rule is that I cannot go longer ( Read more... )

It's been a whirlwind lately. I've gotten some experiments to begin working, so I'm hopeful that I'll get out of this impasse at work. I had to present in lab meeting today and I've got a journal club this afternoon, then I have to present in a journal club on Monday. This weekend got off to a great start. My sister called me to ask "Do you even care how bad things are now with Momma & Daddy now that Momma's lost her job?" WELL.
